The Post (2017)

Vietnam 1966, soldiers are preparing on the next attack. One of them Dan is observer, but the attack is failed and cause a lot of death.
After that Dan is back with the air force's craft. He is called to testify what happen to Mr. Secretary about the war in Vietnam. Once he back at office, he steals the secret document out.
He makes a copy of them, in document disclose about decision of presidents involves Vietnam's war.
In 1971, Katherine has problem about financial of her newspaper,Washington Post. She try to fixed problem and not to lost her family's company.
She and Ben have to convince the banker to help them about financial, they go to see their new lead for their new article.
The messenger send the articles from Sheehan to New York Times, Ben notices something he sent one of his employee to check what Sheehan send to New York Times.
At the banker's meeting, Katherine failed to convince them. They are not convincing when the woman is in charge of the company, her board also starts to consider her ability. Her news might be not in the public on time because of her decision.
Ben's messenger arrive at New York Post, he disguises as one of them while try to check what's going on there.
At night, Katherine knew from Mr. Secretary that New York Times will publish article about him. Ben gets called from his employee about it too, he straight back to office but they are too late.
Next day Ben buy the New York Times as soon they arrive, it's the article about pentagon's leaks. Ben is so upset that they didn't get the articles, he plans to get it himself.
Ben goes to see Katherine about it, he tells her that he wants to dig more. She tells him not to make problem with him more because she is friend with Mr. Secretary.
After that people starts to protest on street, one woman walk in the Washington Post and hand one of the reporter the document. He straights to the his chief, he send it to Ben. He is very excite and start to work on it with his team.
But they found that all they have, New York Times already have it. At night, Katherine notices that New York Times is blocked by government to stop their publish.
She tells Ben what happen, she thinks that if Times is shutdown they will be too. Ben thinks it's opportunity for them.
One of Ben's employee found Dan, he is going to see him. While Katherine success put her company to the public. She notices that Ben might be on this.
Ben gets confirm that he gets all the rest of papers, he goes to see Katherine about it. She doesn't agree with him, they might lost the newspaper.
Ben meeting with his team at his house and dig in the papers, he also invites the lawyer to help him check. They try to convince him not to publish, Katherine goes to see Mr. Secretary about it, he tells her that if they did. They will be shutdown, that night Katherine try to solve problem about Ben.
Finally she decides to publish it, one of them try to threaten her that if she is not pull out, the bankers will pull out. Ben found from his lawyer that they will be in trouble if they publish, because their source and New York Times is the same.
Ben tells Katherine what happen if they publish, both of them will be in jailed. They have the meeting to discuss, she insists that she will continue even her board disagree.
After publish, they get called them to stop the publish. They refuse them and looking  to fight at supreme court. After that New York Times also start to publish again to fight along with them.
Also later the rest of newspaper following them and publish the papers. Katherine feels so proud for what her done, people that has their family on the war feel appreciate to her.
After the decision, they win.
